Model-Driven (current)

The model driven groundwater availability service is based on the simulation of groundwater flow and respectively, simulation of groundwater head and budget at the aquifer scale by means of the MODFLOW model. https://www.usgs.gov/mission-areas/water-resources/science/modflow-and-related-programs A set of programming scripts automatically adjust the input files and MODFLOW model is executed every month in order to provide groundwater level and groundwater availability for the whole Pinios Hydrologic Observatory plain and each sub-area demonstrated in the map below.
